Can someone help me on this? I have been keeping aquarium for a long time now and I am lost on my wife's new aquarium. Its been set up for about 5 months now and it's had cloudy water for about 4 months. She is using the same water Source I use on my other aquariums. This aquarium is planted, ammonia is 0 PPM, nitrite is 0 PPM, nitrate is 5.0 ppm the only thing I can find that is high is phosphate it is 5.0 ppm. The substrate is flora max. The only fertilizer I have added is easy green. I have also added a UV sterilizer I know it's a Band-Aid but it did not even fixed the problem.
