Help sexing gourami :)

Hi there,


I bought 2 opaline gourami from my LFS at the weekend, I just wondered if you could help me sex them. It's quite difficult to photograph them are they are very shy.

Any help is appreciated

Both female I suspect. Though a better photo of 2nd one would be good, need to see the dorsal fin!

Their fins are the same shape, they are almost identical size and shape wise, it's just colour and markings that are different.

the second one is extremely skittish and shy, and a lot paler than the first, I think it's stressed so trying my best to leave them alone and not startle her. Both are eating though so pleased with that. She did come out last night for a while and seemed to have a deeper colour.

Mine were the same at first. Don't you worry, they'll be lording over the tank in no time!
