I used to have a loach that was white/pink when I was little, are they good for a tank? I have a 10 gallon now and I believe that's way to small for any loach, but are they good in bigger tanks?

It depends on which species of loach, there are dozens (or more) of different ones. You could keep a small group of kuhli loaches in a 10, though it really is a small tank for most fish of any sort. A 24-36" tank certainly increases your stocking options.
