How should I stock my 16gal tank to go with my 3 golden barbs?

A few tiger barbs (regular or albino) cherry barbs or black ruby barbs would add a good contrast and be good companions. Stay away from anything slow or with long or flowing fins

I'd just add 3 or 4 more gold barbs. They look nice in a shoal. Tank is a bit small for them, though.

If you add tiger barbs in a school of less than 6 they get aggressive and they get big. Cherry barbs tend to be timid and might not do well with gold barbs.
