I recently moved the occupents, substrate, filter, everything from my 29gal to a 30gal.

Well, I took the 29 outside over the weekend and rinsed it out and let it sit out in the sun to bake for a day to destroy anything that may have been in there, well.. I went to bring it back in the house and noticed that the sealant [ Black aquarium caulk ] had turned a very nasty, rusty brown.

This discoloration is only on the botom of the tank and only in one or two spots. and as far as I can recall it wasn't that color to start with.

Did this brief exposure destroy my tank sealant? I'd hate like the blazes to have to reseal this tank..

I expect this is just some residue that was on the sealant and you couldn't see it until it was really dry. I would just wash the tank out and fill it up with water to be sure. Silicone is just about indestructible and I don't think you'll have a problem with it. JMHO.
