I've got a pretty big algae problem in my 18.75 gal tank. I think I've got 3 types of algae. Brown algae, string algae, and little green tufts which seem to be the beginnings of brush algae. I've already started to limit the light. Anyone else has any solutions? This is a tank with 27 RCS, 14 neon tetras, some Anubias nana, Anubias afzelii, and Christmas moss.

Throw some stem plants like anacharis in there... you’ve got slow growing plants that aren’t taking up the nutrients fast enough. Also, increase water changes and filter cleanings (but not extremely aggressive ones, just light cleaning of the media and sponges, etc.)

Ok, thanks! The string algae and brown algae problems have already cleared up, but still dealing with the little tufts. They're kinda hard to get off the glass. Will work on getting rid of them.
