H2O2 is good for killing algae. Lots of people spot treat black beard algae (BBA) hair algae and a lot of other kinds of it. You spot treat by filling some in a syringe and squirting it on the algae inside the tank. It really doesn't harm any plants IMO unless you inject it directly onto them or into them. It would probably harm java moss or any other kind of moss since it is exposed already. Even though you can do this to get rid of it weekly or bi weekly or whatever you choose to do, it might be more beneficial to find the problem at it's source and stop it there. For example, do you have too much light? Phosphates? Excess food? That would be easier for you in the long run and you wouldn't have to treat it every week.

I highly recommend not using h202. Although it can be done safely, fine tuning your lighting, ferts, and/or water parameters will benefit your fish, plants, and algae. As opposed to band-aid'ing your algae repeatedly.
