inclosed tank questions

Wondering how I go about closing up the holes on the top of my tank where the HOB filter and Heater are? Any suggestions?

On one of my tanks I got some very very fine plastic mesh from a hardware store and cut out covers for the holes. I have a jumper killiefish who I've saved twice so this was a needed fix for me.
