New Fish?

I have a 10 gallon tank right now with 3 female guppies and 2 male guppies. I also have a larger baby(out in the tank) and six little babies in a breeder. I love neon tetras, but every time i have tried getting them, they die off in a couple days.

more female guppies. with 2 males you need minimum 4,preferably 6

I say that is stocked, espeically if those babies grow up to adults.

How have you tried neons? How long did you acclamate them for? How did you acclamate them? Not to be picky-picky, but neons are IMO kinda sensitive if you don't acclamate them properly.

Where did you purchase the neons? Be careful where you buy from. My guess is they were sick right out of your fish store. Make sure they have good color & don't have ich.

I got them from petco...and they are with about 50-100 others in a 2.5 gallon tank at the store.

That's probably why. I would reccomend finding a good locally owned fish store to do business with.

At the Petco and Petsmart near me the fish are always in poor condition. They usually have diseases and parasites and are half-dead in the store.

There isnt any other close stores. I could try pet land..they dont over stock the tanks.
