Hello, I was wondering if root tabs can be used in pebble substrate? Thank you

What type of root tabs are you thinking about and how deep is the substrate (or the depth of the tab)

I would definitely suggest not using a root tab that is a gel capsule type in a relatively shallow pebble substrate. It’s highly likely that the contents will just disperse into the water column once the gel capsule melts

The substrate is 2 inches deep. I hadn't had any in mind but was hoping to find some type of fertilizer I could use if I decided to add amazon swords(would only do if it's possible)

That’s going to be a tough one. Amazon sword is a heavy root feeder, not best suited to a gravel substrate, but anything is possible

if you’re going to go for it, I would lean towards using a puck style tab like flourish tabs over a gel capsule type and make sure they’re buried as deep as you can to prevent leaching.
