ph troubles

I have a 50 gallon tank with 4 angels 6 neons and a large pleco it has been up and running for a few months now.I check the water 2 times a week a couple days ago the ph shot up close to 8 i've done a couple water changes,and i can't get it to come back down.HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

If your fish are OK, calm down.

Was your tank completely cycled? Fishless or fish-in?

Have you added or removed anything from the tank?

What is the pH from your tap? Do you know if you have hard or soft water?
