Has anyone seen RNT extremely active. I have over 20, and different groups are schooling. But it actually looks a little like chasing. But smaller tetras are chasing bigger ones. Seems a little odd. Has anyone seen, or heard of this? Is it normal?

It all happened this morning and I did a water-change last night and my nitrates are 10 ppm. Maybe they are just ultra active....

That sounds normal to me. Rummynose are active little fish when they're happy, and I agree it could be spawning behavior. You'll probably never know if they do spawn, but it's nice to know that they're happy. :)

My rummies are like that. Out all the time, very active, and not shy anymore. Now, if I put my finger to the glass on the tank, they'll swim right up to investigate. Interestingly enough, they became SUPER happy when I introduced mopani wood to the tank. They really seem to love the tannins in the water.
