Tank size for an angel fish?

I became interested in getting an angelfish (freshwater), but when I looked for requirements for tank size I was getting answers of anywhere from 15-40 gallons min. Anyone know the requirement?

I would not keep them in anything less than a 29. A 29 would be for one single adult fish.

That is what I was thinking. Is that for just one angel, or could I do one angel and a school of tetras (rummy-nosed or prestilla)? Maybe some panda cories?

He can have tetras and corys in with him.

Ok, thanks for the quick answer I'm thinking of setting up either my old 10 gallon or my old 29 gallon in a few weeks, so I'm either going to have a betta tank or an angel, tetra, and cory tank.

A 20H would work for a single adult and a few other small fish, or a pair of adults and no other fish, but it's definitely the bare minimum.
