Tank Water Tamp

Bought a 2ft x 1ft x 1ft tank for the wife so she leaves my big tank alone , but having a problem keeping the water temp at 26c. it keeps going up to around 31/ 32c ? tried two heaters both set at 26c but the water still settles higher. anyone any thoughts what i can do to rectify this please ....

I am new to this but I also have a high temperature. Mine runs about 83 degrees with the lights on. If I were you I wouldn't even keep the heaters on right now. Your room or area whers e you live might be running warm. A lot of people who live in warm areas say they don't even run the heaters in the summer, and some have to put little clip-on fans near the top to cool off the water to a normal range. As I said I'm new to the hobby, so see if others agree.

The heaters might be too large for the tank maybe? Larger heaters can be set at a lower temp to reach 26C. Also check the lights aren't heating it up too much.
