Unknown organism in freshwater aquarium (pics incld)

Anyone can help identify wat sort or insect nymph is this? Swims with it's tail but walks on aquarium plants and items most often. Stays fully submerged.

looks like maybe a damselfly nymph. I'm far from an insect expert by any means but it looks similar.

Superb! Thanks for the quick reply. Saw 2 of them in the water. Managed to get 1. Seems harmless to leave it in the watern given i have no baby fish. Shall watch it evolve.

Good luck. I see them a lot when I'm out collecting fish, they (among a dozen other crawly things) creep me out when they are in the dip net.

Hahaha. Had me worried too not knowing what it was. Looks aggressive especially when it swims.
