i got these fish from an uncle.

could anyone tell me what fish are these?

They look like Green Wagtail Swordtails.

LOL...how did you notice?

There are tons of color morphs in the swordtail species. I've seen some colorations that are quite colorful (bred with various other color morpsh) and are not "named".

They are sword tails, I had them that color when I was a child..

I'm not sure what kind of swordtails they are, but I have Marigold Swordtails and two males do not exactly get along very well, especially if they are in a tiny tank, so I hope you have a big tank, or get lots of females to satisfy them both so they won't get too aggressive towards each other.

I find that one of the males will chase the other one away, and not let him have any food. He'll even chase him out of hiding. I had to put them in seperate tanks.

Swordtails are also livebearing fish.
