so im lookin at my tank and i notice this, 6" transparent string with specs in it. im like what the heck. i try to find the source and i follow it to my pleco.
the "string" is almost transparent with sections of solid waste in it here and there.
Is this normal. the pleco is 6-8" long and mostly eats cuccumbers and algae pellets.

well for most fish, thats not normal poo and can be an indication of something wrong.

I have noticed this on my Oto's and small BN pleco's when I had them(but the poo was green), so I think its just because of what they eat?

Sounds like internal parasites to me! At least for puffers, that is what I was told to look out for. Whitish stringy poo=parasites.

does any1 know....for sure?

or does any1 know where i could go to find out, for sure?
