What kind of wild shrimp? Not all shrimp have the potential for coloration like Red Cherry.

Okie doke.

Selective breeding is just that. You choose male and female shrimp that show the favorable trait (in your case color) and move them from the population that doesn't have color. Those ones in turn breed with each other. With the next generation you either remove the shrimps that don't show the favorable trait and/or move shrimp that show even more of the favorable trait and breed again. This process is repeated over and over until the generations that are produced have a very high likelihood to have the trait that you are breeding for.
