Shrimp!

Hi, I want to add shrimp to my planted tank, it's been established for a several months now. I have 18 neon tetras and 1 bristlenose pleco. It's. a 37 tall. Does anybody have any tips for a beginner? What are the best beginner shrimp?

I started with culls from someone. Red Cherry Shrimp. All of them were eaten by my fish. I tried again in a Shrimp only tank and they were breeding like rabbits. So I added a few Khuli's to keep down the youngsters. Problem is they are killing the fresh molted adults and they are gonna have to go into my main tanks. Now I just need to catch the little buggers.

But do you know what are the best and easiest? Like amano, cherry, ghost etc

The Amanos have been easy.

Do they do a good job eating algae

 

[TMaier]

Yep. When they are hungry. They would much rather steal pellets from the fish.
