Hi everyone,

I have 7ghost shrimp in a 10gal (along with 3 guppies) one of the ghost shrimp has a "broken glass" look to it for a few weeks now. My params are fine, but I thought ghost shrimp are suppose to be completely transparent?

I doubt it's ill, my ghostie has been active, eating, and moving around fine...

Any guesses? Thanks!

Ghost shrimp is just a generic name for a few different similar looking species, so it is possible to have not so transparent ghosties.

It could also be ready to shed. And to add to your point 'ghost shrimp' is a real catch all. I had a 'ghost shrimp' that was def not a normal shrimp. It was pushing 2 inches.
