ADF climbing out of water - WHY?

Is your tank cycled ? (are you familiar with the cycling process ?) YES & YES

Are you testing your water with a liquid test kit (like the API test kit) or dipsticks ? API TEST KIT

Ammonia: 0

Nitrite: 0

Nitrate: 10-15

pH:7.4

KH: DON'T KNOW

Temperature: 77

Are you using a heater ? YES

Are you using any aeration / bubbler ? HOB FILTER THAT AERATES WATER

Water change amount/frequency: 25% WEEKLY

Tank size/how long in operation: 10 GALLON

Filtration:HOB FILTER

Water additives/conditioners/pH adjusters: NONE

What, how much and how often are the fish/frogs fed: 3-5 SINKING FROG PELLETS 1-2X DAY

Tank inhabitants (number, size and type of fish/frogs): 1 SMALL African Dwarf Frog (ADF), 1 BLUE MICKEY MOUSE PLATY

New additions/changes to the tank: 3 ADF'S ADDED TO TANK AFTER IT FINISHED CYCLING ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO. 2 DIED AND 1 REMAINS

Unusual findings on the fish/frog: THE 2 ADF'S THAT DIED LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD SOME WHITE PATCHES ON THEM THE NIGHT BEFORE. BEING A NEW ADF OWNER I SUSPECTED THIS WAS SHEDDING SKIN. THE NEXT MORNING I AWOKE TO FIND THE WHITE PATCHES HAD FULLY COVERED THEIR BODIES AND THE FROGS WERE DEAD. THE WHITE STUFF LOOKED FUZZY LIKE SOME SORT OF FUNGUS. AND ONE OF THE FROGS LOOKED LIKE HE HAD A RED/BLOODY SPOT ON THE TOP OF HIS THIGH ON HIS RIGHT REAR LEG. I TOOK THE 2 DEAD FROGS OUT OF THE WATER, DID A 90% WATER CHANGE AND LEFT THE REMAINING TANK INHABITANTS IN THE TANK.

Unusual behavior: THE REMAINING ADF WAS OK FOR THE FIRST 2-3 DAYS AFTER THE DEATHS BUT HAS BEEN SEEN 2X SINCE LOOKING LIKE HE IS STUCK TO THE GLASS OF THE TANK, WITH HIS BODY HALF-IN/HALF-OUT OF THE WATER. IT'S ALMOST LIKE HE IS TRYING TO CLIMB OUT OF THE WATER AND BREATHE FRESH AIR - WHEN I TAP THE GLASS HE DOESN'T MOVE, WHICH IS UNUSUAL BECUASE OF HOW SENSTIVE THE ADF'S ARE TO VIBRATIONS. SO THE FIRST TIME I SAW THIS I THUMPED THE GLASS FAIRLY HARD AND HE DID JUMP OFF THE GLASS BACK INTO THE TANK AND STARTED SWIMMING AROUND. I HAVE NOT DONE THAT THIS TIME AROUND THOUGH. IS THIS CHYTRID OR SOMETHING ELSE? UNFORTUNATELY I DON'T HAVE PICTURES OF THE DECEASED FROGS BUT COULD TAKE ONE OF THE 1 REMAINING FROG WHO IS STUCK TO THE GLASS - IT WILL LIKELY BE A LITTILE FUZZY BUT HAPPY TO DO IT IF THAT HELPS. ID'ING THE ISSUE. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ID THIS CAUSE OF THIS AND RECOMMEND A TREATMENT I WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATIVE.

Medications/what has been tried or do NO MEDICATIONS. ONLY 90% WATER CHANGE WITH EXTRA PRIME WATER CONDITIONER AND A TEASPOON OF AQUARIUM SALT TO TRY AND KILL WHATEVER WAS IN THE WATER.

THANKS - PONCH

My advice is to move the frog to a new, clean container with new water. then, give him a 1 minute salt bath with sea salt. I suggest cleaning all your contaminated frog items (tank, heater, filter, ect.) At first the "Fungus" sounded like Ich, but im not to sure. Undoubtedly it is some sort of fungus, and, I hate to tell you your frog will probably die. Obviously it was trying to get out of the water, or, it was to weak to swim down to the bottom of the tank.
