3 weeks old, test results...

ok, after tons of brown and red algae growing on my glass and little white "pods" running around i tested the water.

78 degrees
alkalinity = 3.6
ph = 8.6
nitrates = o
nitrites = 0
ammonia = 1

my pH has always been high, but now my alkalinity is up and my ammnia...

how is the tank progressing?

looks like you are still in the beginning of the cycle. Still got plenty of time to wait it out. The pH seems a bit high, but fluctuating pH is common during cycling.

what are you cycling with...... Any lr how big a tank.....
did u start the cycle with a shrimp of LR die off......
