Hi just had a question on lighting. I just acquired at 72 gallon bow front tank, I have a 40 breeder reef system that I will be switching over into the 72. My question is I just bought a Tao tronics 165w dimmable led light (55*3w blue/white ratio 28/27)
Does anybody have any websites or tips on how dim or how bright it should be? I've read that it needs brought up slowly but .... How slow? (New to LEDs) I currently have a quad t-5 unit and have some mushrooms afew leather and afew sps. Thanks

Start the unit out at 30%, and add 10% to the lights weekly until you hit your mark. generally you only need to get the lights up to 60% blues and 30% whites, but its up to you. I run 85% blues and 60% whites.

it also depends on high above the water level it is mounted.
My light is about 10" from the surface and I'm running ~35% white/60% blue so far, but I'm still figuring out what coral likes what spot...LOL

Ok thanks for the help
