Algae Out Of Hand

I am still waiting on my ammonia level to drop to 0. It is still stuck at .25 I haven't had the chance to take a water sample to the lfs yet. Anyways my live rock has a good bit of algae growing on it. It is really long and green. Is there anything I can do to get rid of what is growing?

pull it off by hand, keep the lights off...then when the cycle is over, do a major water change.

Excellent advice. When you do a PWC try to siphon off as much as you can. Here are some good articles on algea control.
