Astraea snail

So my snail has been appearing to be removing itself from its shell. I have more shells for it to move into, does anyone know how long it will take or if he is in fact moving shells?

Snails don't move shells. Their shell grows with them. If its upside down and extendin out of his shell, he's trying to right himself, which most can't do. So if its upside down, pick it up and put it on a rock right side up. Otherwise, it'll die there upside down.

I turned it back over, and then it turned itself back onto his back. I have notice that he is back and moving around the tank. Could there be anything wrong with it. I checked my water and everything is in order.

So he's upright again? Is he on glass or a rock or something?

Yes he is upright and moving around on the rocks.

Weird. Not sure what he was doin, but Astraea can't usually right themselves, unless maybe he's not actually an astrea? Glad he's on the move again!
