I’ve heard good things about the Aqueon Model 1. But it advertises 40-55 gallons. I haven’t seen any 30 gallon sumps, but I may not be looking hard enough. If anyone has any suggestions on models, setups, etc. I would greatly appreciate the info.

A sump can be anything as long as it is strong enough to hold water and safe for potable water. It can be as big or as large as you want. It doesn't have to be 'rated' for the size of your tank, doesn't have to have baffles, and it doesn't have to be fancy. I was planning on using a horse trough before I settled on a red sea tank. Keep an eye out on stores like Petco, as they do dollar per gallon sales and make it very easy to pick up a small tank in the range you mentioned and then get some cheap glass cut for size to silicone into place for baffles.
