Brownish stuff in the tank

This is the second tank i have had i believe its normal in the beginning few months of tank life, i just cant remember the name and wether or not it goes away by itself. I am starting to see brownish red stuff covering my sand and rocks can someone please tell me what it is. And also with a 30g sump and a 110g DT should i be doing more then a 10g water change per week or is that ok

Diatoms, normal, could be a pain but will go away...

So about how long till it clears up its been about 3 weeks now

I am intrigued to know as well as currently experiencing a bloom myself.

Can take up to à couple of months.
