How to properly se up a saltwater aquarium?

Is this going to be a Reef tank? A fish only or a fish and LR tank?

Lighting is the first thing you want to look into when going for a reef tank. You want to decide what you want to keep in the tank as this can dictate what goes on with your lighting in terms of intensity.
