Live Rock Question

I set up a new reef and its a 20gallon. I put in twenty lbs of live sand and 10lbs of live rock. I want to add more rock but my question is should i wait until the tank cycles? or just add more now? and should it be live to get to 20 lbs total or can i use dead rock? Thanks guys

Add more now. You can use live or dead rock, but you want the tank to cycle with all of the rock in it. You want the bacteria colony that grows to cover all the surface area you can.

Don't do any water changes until the cycle is complete. 25% weekly would be a good practice, but after you have livestock and the tank is cycled.

That'll help cycle your tank. Good luck!
