my live rock its got some issues

okay i just got this 55 gal tank and i filled it with dead sand not yet to have lsand in it but i put my 55 pounds of lvr in it but the 25 that i put in it while it was still silty is now looking like i threw a bunch of rusty nails on it

it is completely covered in brown rusty stuff how do i fix it
in dire need of help plz

If the tank is cycled add some herbivorous snails and they will clean it off for you, if it's not cycled, then you'll have wait till it is. Diatom algae is quite common in new tanks.

I picked up some cleaner shrip and reduced the time i put on my lights some of the alge has disapeared and it is starting to clear up.
