New guy heater help

Hey all.you were great answering the first question i had. i thought id throw another out.

i went out today ,and picked up a heater,and master test kit.
the heater is a 100watt.
if my tank is at 70 now,and my target temp is 80 how long will the heater take to reach that temp?

beside the directions on the test kit .is there any thing more i should be looking out for?

Heater: Couple hours (based on the post time it should be there by now for sure)
Test Kit: Expiration date (nothing worse then freaking out over a test result to find out it's because your kit has gone bad/expired).
