Question new tank?

im starting my 14 gallon bio cube on monday and im using live sand and live rock out of current fish tanks. once i put everything in the tank, can i go ahead and put macro algae in it right away or should i wait?

Some macro algae will go sexual. The last couple of tanks I started I used macro algaes right away. I have only had one go sexual and that was on an established tank. What type of algae are you planning on using?

i would wait to see if you get any ammonia spike. sometimes a strong ammonia spike can kill off the algae.
