PC Lighting v. VHO Lighting

I currently have a 6x65w PC light (390w total) on my 90 gal tank (48x18x24). I have a cousin that said that he will sell me his 4x110w DIY VHO Retrofit kit (440w total) for $100. He only used them for a few weeks. The kit has 2 10K and 2 URI Super Acintics bulbs.

Would you upgrade to the VHO light kit? Is the 50w difference that big a deal? Will the few corals (mushrooms and button polyps) that I have thrive better under the VHO then the PC lights?

I have been prety successful with keeping LPS corals under PC lighting. You tank isn't too tall, and at 4.3 wpg, you shoud be good to go.

Those URI super actinics look incredible. VHO lighting looks quite nice, better then PC in my opinion, whether the performance is any better I don't know. I personally use PCs and I am looking to switch to T-5s.

Yeah, I've started doing some research on t-5s. I like what I've read so far!

I think you will find that PCFs are basically T5s that have been bent into a loop.
