Can someone tell me how much can I raise my ph with out shocking my system (PH shock)?
I'm at 7.9 and want to bring it up to 8.3-8.4???

Follow the instructions:
"Add 5 g (1 level teaspoon) for each 80 L (20 gallons*). Dissolve in at least one cup of freshwater. This dose will also raise alkalinity by about 1 meq/L. Add daily until pH stabilizes at 8.3. This will take from a day to a week, depending on original pH and alkalinity. "

I would take it slow.

Did you try increasing gas exchange? More surface agitation and open the lid. See if that works.

I think I'm ok there cause I don't like to have my tanks covered, they are completely open all the time and I have the Aquaclear filters on all the tanks ( the waterfall ones ) , there should be enough gas exchange just from those annoying filters??
