Shallow tank?

Hey everyone

just want your opinion on a shallow tank?
Thinking of getting 1 and making into a reef tank
I got limted space at home soThe tank will be custome made
thought I get some info about keeping reef in a shallow tank.
If seen some shallow tanks on YouTube and it looks amazing.

So any info about this would be great. 😊

They work fine, but personally with the intensity that LEDs work at and their ability to penetrate water, there isn't any real reason for a shallow tank IMO.

Would you say it's similar to a long tank

Long tanks are shallower, correct. That isn't to said they aren't good tanks. I have a 20 long...but I turned it into a sump.

That's what I thought. But my lfs was asking me do I want a shallow tank or long tank :S

What do you think the tank size
60cm width
24cm height
18cm depth

Works out to be 7gallons

I think anything under 20 gallons is a waste since you can't have any fish in anything that small.
