starting a reef

The most peaceful and reef safe eel would be a garden eel. They're beautiful and fun to watch but you need a 4 to 5 inch deep sand bed. I've thought of getting a couple of them.



These are not an animal that is kept in a home aquarium. They are super specialized and need expert levels of care. Best left in the ocean.

Engineer gobies are reef safe and look like eels, that would be your best bet.
 
They're called Animal Attraction. It's the LFS where I get all my love rock, fish, and inverts and they're amazing.
 
this is my engineer almost 2ft in length they do resemble a eel they are black with white stripes or diamond pattern
