Last night,..(as always)...I was looking at my tank after the lights went out. The dining room light was still on and I could see quite well into the tank. All my fish seemed to be eating something from what appeared to be clean water. I got the flashlight and studied the water they seemed to be picking stuff from and could not see a thing. Am I going crazy or is it the fish?

Could be something had bred in your tank and the fish were feeding on the "babies". Maybe some shrimp or fish eggs hatched?

I agree. Do you have any type of Cleaner Shrimp? If so one of them probably let loose with a bunch of larvae.
