Who else is using the Berling system?

I've been reading up on this and unless I'm wrong you can run a FOWLR without a mechanical filter. So you would only need

1. Lots of Live Rock
2. Top of the line Protein Skimmer
3. Powerheads
4. Calcium reactor



Is anyone using this system? Here's the link....

Yeah, I have the first 3 in/for my reef tank. No mechanical filter.

From what I have seen, pretty much everyone on the site uses berlin or a hybrid of it.

Actually, for a FOWLR, a calcium reactor is a waste of money. The reactor is used to supplement the calcium and alkalinity used by corals and since there are no corals in a FOWLR, there is no need for the reactor.
