Hello! Im pretty new to the hole aquascaping..I had a 30 gallon for along time with acouple live plants just placed randomly...I got a 55 gallon about a week ago and am in the process of cycling it. I have plants coming in on friday but I want my driftwood placed before I add the plants. They are large peices, and would love to have them both in the tank, but just cant seem to figure out where they should go..they seem awkward. also dont mind the rocks..

Dont mind the mess! And I can get better pics later, when its not so bright in my house..I plan on having a black background aswell. But this will be my first time attempting a nice simple aquascape

Hello. I am very new to aquariums but I did see a picture on this forum today which was of a tank with a large bit of driftwood on one side with plants and just a few plants on the other side. To me it looked very nice and resembled a root underwater meeting open water is the best way to describe it. You could possibly try putting the wood together or entwining it somehow and putting a rock or 2 by the foot of the formation to balance it out slightly. Just a thought :)

Thats a good idea! Ill play around with them when I can get them to stay down. I would like one side to be more open with some plants.
