instead of a 5g, I got a 10g tank now

I want to cycle the tank with a really hardy fish. what are some of the choices?

I am thinking of a Black Widow Tetra. Should I put only just one fish or two??

Have you thought about fishless cylcing? Its good in that no fish must suffer in too much ammonia/nitrite. Its easily done with household ammonia I believe. I don't remember the recipe, its a few drops a day.... do a search for it. Is it frustrating not to have fish in your tank for a few weeks, absolutely. But its much nicer for the fish, and gives you time to figure out exactly which fishy you want. HTH

If you do decide to go with fish, zebra danios are almost bomb-proof. Or you might even try a goldfish or two - they produce lots of ammonia.

Bad idea on the Golfish :p They do produce a lot of ammonia, however they are not very hardy and should not be used to cycle a tank. Also, 1 Goldfish in a 10g tank is a full bioload...
