Is there anything wrong with slightly over dosing the dechlorinator? I use a three gallon bucket to do water changes on my 25g tank and its annoying counting drops to get close to the correct dose.

Right now I am finishing a bottle of amquel I got with my 10gal tank and a bottle of tetra I got for my 25g tank after they are gone I was going to ask what everyone on here used and just use it from now on.

My dosing would be the ammount for 5g but in 3g of water.

Nothing wrong with it to my knowledge- I dose 2x the amount because I have high chlorine levels. You could also consider dosing your tank before filling with the buckets but theres nothing wrong with dosing per bucket either. :)

You could just dose enough dechlorinator for the whole tank and add it straight to the tank before you refill, that way you won't have to dose individual buckets. Prime is what most of us on here use; it's more concentrated so you end up using less and it lasts longer.
