Fishless cycle

I'm am trying to do my first fishless cycle. I am brand new to having a tank.I am on day 4 and my ammonia is still at 4 and my nitrites continues to be 0. Am I doing something wrong?

On the fist day I added ammonia and Dr. Tim's one and only to my 29 gallon tank. I left my filter off for 24 hours. I am using API masters test kit to test the ammonia and nitrites.

Yes. You are being impatient.

It can take a couple of weeks or sometimes longer before you start to see measurable nitrites.

Ok great! That's what I was hoping!! I just read a bunch of stuff where people started having nitrites right away so I wasn't sure . Thanks!
