Hello,

I have bought my first tank 14g.

I have added gravel, water, one live plant (ananas) and one wood stick.

Tap water, Water conditioner and turn the filter and heating on.

Water reach 22 degrees I added the Tetra start bacteria.

I notice after a week some white algae growing on the wood.

Doing some research I saw people saying to keep it as it shows the bacteria working. But I wanna make sure because it was an old thread in a different website.

So, my question: should I clean the algae’s or live it there?

Thank you

It'll wash right off if you don't like the look of it. If you had shrimp or snails they would eat it.

My plan is to have a shrimp.

But while the tank is empty, do you think I leave or wash it?

My concern is the water cycle.

Thank you :)
