New 40g hex tank stock

Hey guys im getting a new 40g hex tank tmmrw that is coming with a blood parrot. I have never owned a BP. Is this size tank cool for this fish? Any tankmates that can go with him? Id like some cories and probably the other common community fish such as swordtails and platies. Also any tetras that could go in? Ill have live plants in this tank.

I don't really know much about the specific fish but i think that can get up to 10+ inches? i have recently been looking at hex tanks myself and the stocking of them can be a bit tricky, Again don't quote me but i think a 55+ gallon would be needed for a blood parrot and some other fish.

Corys would probably be fine given some hiding spaces, i don't know about tetras or anything like that especially in a 40hex.
