Cycling my 5 gallon with my boyfriend while we prep the 20 gallon for cycling.
Ammo - 4 ppm pH - 8.4 temp - 84F

got a fuzzy algae covered rock from an established tank

that's a really nice shape for a 5 gallon.

Although, those internal filters take up soooooo much space.
I recommend a HOB filter (aquaclear 20), so you can really appreciate the tank.

So its been roughly 5 days since ive been cycling this tank and its finally starting to change a bit. These are my latest results.

Is this normal? Am I starting something here!!???

yikes!

that ammonia is super green !!!!!

I can see a tiny bit of nitrite. So the cycle is definitely moving....albeit slowly...

should I do a pwc? you used stability corrector am I confused?

Just leave it alone, do not add anything else to your tank except Ammonia. Unless you overdose your tank with Ammonia and it's over 5 then that is when you do a water change in only add the water conditioner and bring your ammonia to 5 the most

+1 to Alex. Leave it alone. :) You've got some movement with nitrites and nitrates already, the party is starting! Just keep dosing ammonia every 24 hours if it gets less than 1.
