Aquarium Advice Newbie
I recently purchased a Fluval Chi (5 gallon) which I'm setting up as freshwater and have a few questions about cycling. I've read all the reviews on the filtration system and most have been negative. Just wondering if anyone has added an in-tank or other type of additional filtration to this tank. If so, did it help keep water cleaner or was there not much of a difference? Also... I set up the tank (basic with artificial plants in the middle) this past weekend and was wondering how long I should expect the water to be cloudy? and if live plants in the basket wil help? (seems they did in Cecil's (my betta) tank. It appears to be the typical bacterial bloom and I presume it will resolve as the bacteria begin to multiply. This is my first post here, so thanks in advance for all the recommendations I'll be getting.
