So got a new tank

Got a new tall 20 gal tank today

Looking for recommendations:

-good filters
-lighting
-heaters
-bubblers
-stands
-etc

What I currently have going into the tank:

Heater for a 5 gal
Whisper filter for 5 gal

Inhabitants
1 blue guppie
4 Mickey Mouse Plattys (maybe more my original Platty had babies)
1 blue mystery snails
4 ghost shrimp (original ghost shrimp I bought ended up pregnant.

Before anyone says that my 5 is over crowded I know it is that's y I bought the 20 gallon lol

Well you need to get everything designed for 20 gallons. The heater and filter for the 5 wont be enough for the 20. I would get an Aqua clear 30 or 50, a 50 watt heater minimum and about 20 lbs of gravel or substrate of your choice.

You will need to use the 5 gallon filter to seed the new tank so your cycle is up and running quickly, which is always nice.

You will be MUCH happier with the 20 as little tanks like the 5 are never enough in the long run.

Ya the stuff from my five is just to get the cycles going and I'm going to fill the tank about half maybe less till I get the right stuff for the 20 gal tank

Then I'm turning my 5 into something else still up in the air though for that I was thinking maybe 1 or 2 red crabs because they don't get to big and they need land and water
