Can goby's get marine velvet?

I lost all my fish a few months back to this dreaded parasite, the only one that survived without harm was a goby. I was wondering if gobys can get it, and if he would be safe to put back in the tank once i get it back up and running? (tank is now empty, no rock, no sand, and no water...starting over)

if the goby has been disease free for 6 weeks in a qt, and the main tank has been fallow for that period. The parasite should have died off

Certain gobies have a slime coating, this may help with parasites that live on the fish's skin.
