do peppermint shrimp climb?

Mine dissapeared! Was told by lots of people he is probably hiding, but I havn't seen him in almost a month??? Don't have anything in the tank that would eat his carcass if he did die either! Any ideas?

They do hide quite a bit. I have a peppermint shrimp in my tank and I think I've seen him maybe twice in 6 months, the last time being about 2 weeks ago. If he did die though, they are so small that they would decompose in about a day or so leaving nothing behind.

Mine comes out only at night and only sometimes when the moonlights come on

half of mine come out during the day the others just stay hidden. Just pulled one from my overflow so I know they can get up there and don't just stay on the rock LOL
