I purchased a cynarina (button coral, doghnut coral, etc) from one of my LFS. It has been 3 hours as of now and it still has not opened up. Does it normally take this coral long to open and acclimate or should i move it to a new locations.

Thanks for the help as always. AA is the best!!!

it can sometime take days for new coral to acclimate to a tank. Trying to match its previous lighting conditions will help though. ex. you have T5 your LFS has MH, you put the coral at the top of your tank to compensate: or : you have MH your LFS has T5 you put the coral in the middle to bottom area. The more abrupt the changes in condition for a coral (ex. water parameters, light quality) the longer it will take to adjust.

thanks i was just a little worried because the corals i do have acclimated very fast your help is always much appreciated happy holidays i will post some pics one its opened
